Great stop motion video by Matt Robinson and Tom Wrigglesworth in response to HP’s brief: “Present an idea which promotes HP Workstations ability to bring to life anything the creative mind can conceive.” The video ended up winning second place at D&AD’s Student Awards Annual.

Ignore those Super Bowl ads at least until I inevitably blog about some of them (Cash4Gold anyone?). I want to talk about Cadbury. I don’t know who’s behind this brilliance, but their Glass and a Half Full Productions have been amazing. After the sublime Phil Collins gorilla ad, Cadbury is proving to be one sexy candy company.

Is it me or are there more and more companies implementing these transparently virtuous campaigns? Are people dumb enough to let these ads actually affect their lifestyles? Will people believe that Starbucks is an awesome and ethical company that is forgoing actual revenues to do good? Can people see through these campaigns, and will they be offended by the assumptions that marketer’s make of consumers? Yes, yes, and no.

Come on Eric Roth; you may have been Ponzied, but pulling a Shepard Fairey on your own work is just as stinky. Is this the worst post ever?

La Blogotheque is a french music blog. Don’t know much else about it because Google sucks at translating. The one part of the site that is offered in english, however, is the collection of video podcasts called the Take-Away Shows. Every week since 2006, the Take-Away Show producers have invited artists and bands to play in random public surroundings. The resulting product is spontaeous, beautiful, and awesome.

I haven’t been able to watch them all, but some of my favorites are the kooks, vampire weekend, and jason mraz (for the ladies). Finally, firstly, you must check out Priscilla Ahn because she is nuts good.

Nike’s been churning out the promotional materials these past two days. Some good, some interesting, some not so good. Guess Nike is still coasting on its advertising budget. Above is “Ankle Insurance” for Kobe’s new low-tops.

Nike GameChangers, the brand’s newest corporate responsibility effort, churned out a bunch of videos that you can see here, here, and here. But they probably won’t work a week from now.

Nike Latin America has a new futbol ad with a bit too much slapping and incoherence: Wake Up Call.
