Walmart Store Front

So I’ve somehow never been to a Wal-Mart in my life. Being a business school student, we discuss Wal-Mart a lot. I know all about its process innovations, its distribution amazingness, and its supplier rape. But stepping into the store for the first time was still very overwhelming. What doesn’t Wal-mart sell? Health insurance? Diving boards?

I’ve spent a couple of hours perusing the Wal-Mart company site for a video we were shown in management class, but I can’t find it anymore. If anyone knows where I can track down the clip about vendors/suppliers selling their souls in Bentonville please give me a heads up.

I have about 5000 bookmarks. I have a folder in my bookmarks called “blog this” that contains too many things that are all outdated. However, I will try to intersperse my posts with something from that folder. Sorry if you’ve read about it elsewhere, but I just think that some things deserve some more mentions.

I promised more posts. I guess all I needed was some inspiration.

While google-newsing Obama, I came across this gem near the top of the stack: Obama’s Charmed Life is Over

Now I understand that this article is part of a regular “My Word” section meant to promote The John Gibson Show, but why is it sorted with the news and how many innocent people have become victims of this promotional tool?

“The Obamas’ have lived a charmed and gaffe-free life up in this campaign so far. But it’s over. Now Mr. and Mrs. Obama are under the microscope and every word is subject to scrutiny.”

Clear Lake

Family took a couple of days at Clear Lake. It’s a pretty intense place filled with “lake people” who are usually insanely sunburnt old wrinkly people. We were pretty out of place but it was a good location to try things that we never done before (things we sucked at).
