Hulu is here!

Hulu is this amazing online TV/movie provider from NBC Universal and News Corp. I’ve been using it pretty religiously throughout it’s beta stage and am very happy to report that the site is now open to the public. Thanks to Hulu, I have been able to enjoy quality (HD) programming without having to resort to any illegalness (R.I.P. Tv-links) especially during the writer’s strike. With the announcement of its public launch, Hulu is now signed with a ton of providers including Lionsgate (Requiem for a Dream), Warner Bros. (Fool’s Gold?!?! Pokemon!!!), the NBA (Lakers), and the NHL (Sharks).

So go sign up, enjoy, embed, and spread the word.

Why the world scares me: Magpul FMG-9

Watch this clip. Excellent quote at the very end.

Wal-Mart.

Walmart Store Front

So I’ve somehow never been to a Wal-Mart in my life. Being a business school student, we discuss Wal-Mart a lot. I know all about its process innovations, its distribution amazingness, and its supplier rape. But stepping into the store for the first time was still very overwhelming. What doesn’t Wal-mart sell? Health insurance? Diving boards?

It must be great to be a member of this family:
Walton Family

I’ve spent a couple of hours perusing the Wal-Mart company site for a video we were shown in management class, but I can’t find it anymore. If anyone knows where I can track down the clip about vendors/suppliers selling their souls in Bentonville please give me a heads up.

Props to this Hubba Bubba campaign

Hubba Bubba

No need to spend money on creating ads and paying for space. Just get some balls and put them on other people’s work. So ape.

In the world of carbon nanotubes…

Maybe it’s because of the 10-page paper I had to write for class last week, but I’m really digging where things are going with them carbon nanotubes and nanowires.

Recently, Nanocomp Technologies just came out with capability to make large sheet of nanotubes. Game begin.

Other articles of interest. Power generating fabrics and how about some flexible solar cells.
